D'oh! That's definitely the issue on this account... I checked my other account that does have people in my circle, and someone has a birthday today but the box isn't there. Does it always disappear the day of if there's no other upcoming birthdays?

I haven't taken a look at the logic for that widget in literally decades, but I'm pretty sure it's not showing to you by now because the server runs on UTC and so according to server time, it's already "tomorrow".

Because so many users are behind UTC, would it make sense to have the widget keep showing "yesterday's" birthdays another day? (Assuming someone feels like diving in and doing that work.)

I think that anything that messes with timezones and/or dates is Extremely Dangerous, heh.
