I'm about to pull the lever on tonight's code push! I'll update this post when it's finished.

There is indeed stuff in there but I can't for the life of me think why . . . not least because it appears to be beatrice_otter's. And I am not they.

*points up* That's what's preloaded there (with kind of bracket changed, of course). Which again, v def not beatrice_otter and cannot for the life of me figure out how that would end up in the layout coding on my journal.

That's extremely odd!

Whenever you choose a new journal style, the customize wizard is supposed to create a new layer for use with the layout that saves your customizations. This is what I see when I look at http://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/advanced/layers on the account where I'm using Gold Leaf: http://imgur.com/a/Cf6Mr

And this is what I see when I edit the customization layer, it's basically blank: http://imgur.com/a/CL7ZV

Let me know if you see something substantially different! The styles area is definitely not my area of expertise but hopefully we can figure this out!

Clearing out the text box that contained the stuff I quoted solved the layout problem; I'm just bemused/bewildered at how apparently beatrice_otter's custom layer ended up at my place, as it were!
