Tonight's code push is now complete! As always, please report any issues here.

(We're particularly interested in issues with HTTPS browsing; we're getting closer to ironing out all the bugs, but we know it's still not perfect.)

EDIT: If you're not getting the inline reply form -- if you're getting redirected to another page to comment -- please clear your cache and then restart your browser.

PLEASE NOTE: If you're coming to report an entry in your journal not displaying properly, and there's a <table> in the entry (or you're reporting a problem with your journal displaying properly and there's an entry with a <table> somewhere visible on the page): please check the entry's source and make sure the HTML of the table is constructed properly. We've made a change to our HTML cleaner to be more strict about missing tags and tags that were closed in a different order than they were opened. Most of the display problems people have reported have been because a table in an entry was missing closing </td>/</tr>tags!

LJlogin isn't logging anyone in. Related to the code push? I thought it might be, though I'm also going to try to contact the creator of the plugin about this as well.

When I click on "Reply to this" in a thread, it doesn't drop down the reply box, it opens a new reply screen. When I get there, the button for the browse icons won't work at all, just the drop-down menu for them.

Prior to the code push clicking "reply to this" in threaded view would open up a text box right there in the thread for you to reply; now clicking it redirects to the page where you can only see the one comment. Additionally, clicking "browse" when on that page with a paid account fails to load the icon browser! It does load after hitting preview and becoming unable to see the comment you're replying to, though.

I'm experiencing this issue on Chrome; a friend tried it on Firefox and reported that's not happening there.

Oops, looks like the person above me already reported it. Sorry!

Another report of a missing sticky. Still there when I view the tag for it, but it's been unstickied.

ETA: Went to edit my sticky and while the option for 'make sticky' is in the modules, I can't seem to ticky the box. Tapping the box does nothing. (Firefox on Android.)

Suggestion that the 'reorder' link note that it opens a new page. I expected it to behave like the settings toggle and open an AJAXy dropdown thing.

Another one for the sticky post. Sticky post is missing as is the space for putting in one in the settings. I noticed a new setting in the Create Entries page for it, but when I try to use it, it's grayed out. I clicked on the reorder option, and it just takes me back to the settings where...I can't do anything because the text box is no longer there...

Interesting rethink of the superfluous tag-navigation options. I do find it to be a vast improvement. :) (Personally, it's still a feature I have no use for, but the one little button is certainly a million times better than those hated arrows.)

Just so you know, people who were using custom CSS to get rid of the arrows may now find their tags missing on individual entry views. I found this happening, and when I removed that bit of CSS, the tags reappeared.

I am having a similar problem to the users above who couldn't get inline reply and Browse for icons to work at all, but clearing the cache/cookies and restarting the browser didn't help - nor did using an entirely different browser. If it makes any difference, I am on an Android tablet and tried using both the Chrome app and the built-in "Internet" app (which I hadn't used for DW before so it shouldn't even have any old cache to clear). I even tried restarting the device twice and toggling Javascript off and on. Not sure what other steps I can try? :(

Is there any possibility you could reinstate the ability for anonymous users to use span tags (specifically the kind that allow you to generate whited-out text, e.g. [this example]? An anonymous community I frequent ([community profile] fail_fandomanon) uses this tag to mark spoilers, and as a result the code push just retroactively un-whited out thousands of spoilery comments from old posts.

If it's not possible to reinstate this feature, would you consider implementing an alternative text-hiding feature that can be used to conceal spoilers while posting anonymously, a la the lj-spoiler tag that's used on livejournal?
ruriair: (Default)

[personal profile] ruriair 2015-03-16 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Anons on two anon communities abused the style and font tags to make the entire page of comments turn into unreadable font in an eye-searing color, regardless of anon comments underneath having zero html in them, so that's why it was removed and isn't likely to get reinstated.

I do second the idea of a spoiler tag though.

I notice in some places that the entries seem to run together (often following a post without a subject, which might help trigger the post conga line, I'm not sure.)
