Hm. I'm not reproducing it locally on my laptop (and the iPad is in the bedroom with my sleeping wife, heh), but the most likely culprit is an entry posted by one of your friends with malformed HTML. Since I'm not seeing it on the public version of your reading page, try this and see if the problem persists: http://capri.dreamwidth.org/read?security=public

I've been experiencing something similar on my iPhone for the past few weeks. Mostly it seems that default icons are mixed up, so that my default icon appears on someone else's post (which is so jarring!), and several times a teeny tiny default icon (synecdochic's, in fact) appears next to the regular-size icon on all the reading list posts. It seems to come and go. I thought it might be a caching bug.
