Imports from LJ re-enabled

After a bunch of testing, we are pleased to announce that we've been able to re-enable imports from LiveJournal. Apologies for the delay: we were waiting for the LJ cookie changes to stabilize and be documented!

Thanks go to LJ for making their changes more backwards-compatable. If you'd like to start a new import from LJ, you can do so at the Import Content page.

I know it seems a bit scary, but what's happening is that it's running the old (previously queued) import, which is causing the new import to fail. But the old one will eventually run to completion.

We really do need to improve that message though! For all that it's technically accurate, it's really not at all clear.

What it currently says is: "If you'd like, you can queue another import. However, keep in mind that setting up another import will abort any imports that you still have in progress."

The pages says, if you start a new import it will replace the one in progress… Or did I imagine that? so I didn't imagine that the 'aborted' message applied to the new one (because that one was supposed to replace the old one, and work), nor did I picture that it applied tot he old one (because if I was getting messages I expected them to be about the new import job, not the old one).
