Hmmm, what browser are you using? I see .invisible from lj_base.css, and that seems to be working fine in my browser, so I wonder if it's a crossbrowser issue.

Firefox 3 under Windows. Investigating now that you've added that information, I think it must have been just a blip; for some reason when I loaded the page before it didn't call lj_base.css, but now it is doing so and the tag counts are hidden as they should be.
