Code push done!

Journals may have blipped briefly (very very briefly), but everything should be okay now. As always, let us know if you run into any issues, no matter how big or small.

I think my layout format changed a little. It's much narrower than it used to be. I mean the part where I put the typing stuff. It used to be about twice as wide.

I don't think we've made any changes to Stepping Stones, which is the layout you're using. In fact I'm pretty sure nobody did. 1) Did you use to have two sidebar columns? Maybe you didn't and that's why it's narrower now. 2) Maybe a screencap would help if you can do that because your entries are pretty wide for me.

Um two sidebar columns? Not sure. I see one very long sidebar and a tiny thing up at the top. I don't remember exactly what was there before, but I didn't change anything. It's half the size that it used to be, for me.

I don't know how to get a screencap into here. I copied it into Word, but I don't know how to get it in a format that I can put into this comment box. Sorry.

This is what your layout looks like in my resolution and font size: http://i.imgur.com/jmYSW.jpg

See the two sidebars? Have you always had them?

To be honest, I don't know if I've always had two sidebars. I do know I've had the one long one. And what you see as the text area is waaaay wider than what I see. In my view it's only about 1/3 as wide.

If you can't resolve this, maybe I'll go pick another style and get one that works. But I'll wait for you to tell me. :-)

Does the style take the whole width? I mean do you have the same margin on the left side and the right side?

I think what's happened is you changed something so that the page looks ok on your particular monitor, but it isn't taking into account the resolution on your users' monitors. I tried changing my screen resolution a little, and it has helped (a little). It still isn't right though.

My monitor is more square and not a widescreen display like you may have. What I see actually cuts off the right side of my posts. Changing the resolution helped that a tiny bit. But I can't change the resolution enough to make it totally viewable.

The fact that everyone has a different type and size monitor makes it more complex for you to do it right, I would guess.

I'm not 'you'. I didn't make any changes to Stepping Stones and would have tested them in different resolutions and screen sizes if I had. However, this may be related to another change. You didn't mention your entries getting cut off before. That's an entirely different thing.

At this point, I suggest you open a support request at http://www.dreamwidth.org/support because this would be the best way to figure this out.

I went into the style customization page and got rid of one of the columns, and now it looks fine. Thanks for your help.
