Database maintenance

Good morning, afternoon, and evening!

We're doing some database and other light server maintenance this weekend (upgrading the version of MySQL we use in particular, but also probably doing some CDN work.)

I expect all of this to be pretty invisible except for some small "couple of minute" blips as we switch between machines, but there's a chance you will notice something untoward. I'll keep an eye on comments as per usual.

How difficult will be migrate to PostgreSQL from MySQL and don't dependented from Oracle anymore?

If one wants to migrate from MySQL to avoid being dependent on Oracle the simplest migration is to MariaDB, right?

Good Morning and Merry Christmas!

Where can I write suggest? There are some things which I lack.
1. Global: Last Things filtering. There are some blogs I wouldn't want to see in my general feed. It's not my personal reading feed, but the global one. I'd like to see more of those I don't know.

2. General mood of Dreamwidth doesn`t work for Cyrillic blogs. I get empty page.

3. Missing rich edit panel in comments. And you can't embed videos(and, it seems, images ) in comments.
