Captcha issues, switched to reCAPTCHA

Looks like there's an issue with our text-based Captcha provider, which is unfortunate. We've switched over to reCAPTCHA for now. I know this is less accessible than our textual ones, so we'll try to switch back if the other provider becomes available again.

For anyone like me who has difficulty with reCAPTCHA I can recommend the "Buster" Firefox extension, which solves them for you.

(Yes, that's silly and calls into question the whole point of these things, but... there it is.)

Wasn't sure where to put this, but is there any word on why dreamwidth has been so broken the past couple days?

Constant site errors, showing no comments, saying comment isn't posted then double posting, no notifications, not even showing up a couple hours later like usual. Just lost completely. It happened for more than 6 hours yesterday so I thought it might be addressed.

Not getting notifs this morning either again.

I have also had some of these issues; mainly trying to post comments and getting "an error occurred," but upon refresh the comment is usually there. But I have only gotten email notifications for about half of the comments I've received in the last few days. That includes even notifications in the DW inbox (not sure if that matters).

I've been having some issues at a community I run (summerofthe69), where, when trying to comment anonymously, the Captcha won't load. I've turned off Captchas for anonymous commenters for now, which has allowed anonymous comments to go through, but do you think it's related at all?
