I don't know if it has anything to do with the code push, and I wouldn't have thought so, but for the past three days I'm not getting email alerts for comments. I thought maybe they were just slow in arriving, but they're only showing up in my journal's inbox, not in my email and when I try to fix it in my settings, I tick the email box then save, but it doesn't stick, the tick vanishes. It's weird.

oh fuck a duck. (Sorry, I'm not swearing at you, I'm just swearing at that fucking bug.) You are the unlucky latest recipient of an extremely rarely occurring bug we've been trying to track down for-fucking-ever: we have no idea what triggers it, what the underlying mechanism for it could be, or how we could possibly fix it or even help you work around it. If you give us your browser/OS combination (with version numbers, please) and all your enabled extensions, we'll look into it again and see if more data helps; I may be in touch with you for some more debug information.

My browser is Microsoft Edge Version 115.0.1901.188 (Official build) (64-bit)

OS is Windows 11 version 22H2.

I don't even know what enabled extensions are, so I don't know if I have any, sorry. I'm not all that good with computer stuff, unlike you guys. Anyway, I hope the above details will help.

And suddenly I'm getting email notifications again, just to make things weirder. Unless you figured something out and fixed it, which wouldn't surprise me because you guys are awesome that way.

Nope, we didn't, but I'm glad it spontaneously fixed itself! Seriously, this one has been annoying us forever.

I don't know if maybe I inadvertently fixed it myself. I mean, all I did was go to the notifications page, clicked the email button a couple of times so everything I'd checked went blank, clicked it again so all the check marks came back, then clicked save. When I turned my computer on again later, suddenly I was getting notifications again. Probably just a coincidence, but...
