Header links

Is the header links fix in a different code push? They're still slightly smaller in my journal and in my community, ponyville_trot, which uses a modular base style by branchandroot from at least 12 years ago, the header links are lurking in the side bar.

Thanks for the updates and keeping Dreamwidth on an even keel!

I remember someone saying that they had to visit https://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/options?group=modules
and reassign the navigation module to the header section? That sounds like it might be a fix for your sidebar issue.

Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in over a decade and I don't have time to improve it at the moment, but if you want to tag a user on another site, you can add a site attribute to the user tag. For example,

<user name="dreamwidth" site="twitter.com">

resolves to

dreamwidth

Hello, I'm not sure if this is in any way connected to the updates. But the last few days, if I try to edit any of my previous posts on here, I'm not getting the box that shows the text, ready to be edited. I can see the text from the older post, if I click the HTML option, but RICH TEXT reverts to no editing box again.

I'm using Firefox via Windows 10 if that helps. :)

I think someone in a previous post said that they had an ad blocker installed that was preventing the RTE from loading for them. Try disabling extensions and see if that helps?

If not, I suggest opening a support request so that our team of support volunteers can look into it for you!

I've had some 504 Gateway errors here and there, but nothing major. Thank you as always for keeping us in the loop.

I'm sorry! The evening errors are due to high load from various garbage traffic and we're working to filter it as much as possible. If you wait a few minutes after you get one, the auto-scaler systems will have put more computing power into the pool and it should fix itself.

This is minor, and I think this is new because I constantly use the "Unread" section of my inbox and I don't remember this happening before but... right now:

1. I have two pages of unread messages
2. If I navigate to page 2 of my Unread messages, then I delete one
3. I still see I'm on page 2 out of 2, good
4. But if I click on "1" it brings me back to the entire inbox ("All"), and out of the Unread subfolder.

I like to pick out slowly at my unread, delete, then move around, so this is noticeable. I think it doesn't happen the other way around (delete something on page 1 -> the page 2 button still properly links to Page 2 of Unread).

Edit: Maybe another pagination issue: I tracked a busy post and used "Filter by entry" to catch up on the comments. After deleting all of page 3, I tried to click on "2" and was sent to one. After deleting all of page 2's messages, the link to page 1 didn't work at all and redirected me elsewhere.

Thanks for mentioning this! We're not sure why this happened - that page's code hasn't been touched in ages - but we have a fix ready for the next code push.
