Code Push/Update Window
I'm scheduling a maintenance window for Friday, July 3rd, 2009 between the hours of 8PM-10PM PDT (0300-0500 GMT). This window is for doing a code push/site update.
The actual update won't take two hours, but I'm giving a little room so I can do some other maintenance tasks at the same time. (Database flips, backup testing, etc.) You can expect the site to go down briefly a few times. Total downtime should be no more than 10-15 minutes.
If in doubt, write your posts/comments in your text editor of choice (vim!) and we'll see you on the flip side. As always, I will update this community and Twitter as things happen.

(Also, it amuses me that most of the comments here are about the text editor rather than the downtime itself.)

(That is what reviewers are for! To lessen the possibility of breaking stuff! Hopefully, at least ;0)

(I've never heard of half those editors, and don't have most of the rest.)

Everyone have a safe and happy holiday! Be save and be well! You must be the change in the world you wish to see. Ghandi.
