Hi there, something in the code push seems to have knocked the custom CSS on my header out of whack, and I'm not sure how to fix it! It has some extra lines that weren't there a couple hours ago:



I looked through my CSS, but I'm not sure what's setting this off. Any suggestions on what to tweak would be appreciated!

You should have a line for "#header .inner" - if you changed it to "#header > .inner" it'll get rid of the extra lines.

I love the new color picker, but the width for the slider is wrong. There should be spaces around the + in calc(100%+16px).

I love that the beta Post Entry page has also a rich text editor now - I missed it a lot, and stopped using the beta page because of it at some point. Now I can use the beta page again! Also love the draft autosave :D The beta Post Entry page in general looks really good and clean :D Thank you!

We're still working on getting a RTE that was coded in this millennium (okay, I'm exaggerating, but only by a very little: the existing one is from ~2001) in to replace the existing janky and bug-laden one, but since it's proven to be such a formidable task, we just said fuck it and put in the janky and bug-laden one for now!

The beta update page was fu's project and she did such a great job with it. I love how customizable it is!

I'm also having a problem with my fancake header taking up more space than it did before the code push.

According to Firefox, div#header is 1214.1 x 190.8 but div.inner is only 1198.1 x 180.8, and I'd like to remove the extra space at the bottom and have the header be ~180 tall, but I can't see where that extra 10px is coming from.

Whoops, thanks for catching that! Can you refresh and tell me if it's looking like you expected it to now? We had the order of two lines flipped in code from the 'make it possible to put navlinks in the header of all layouts' change.

Not sure if this is deliberate, but the navigation bar at the top of my journal, with Recent Entries, Archive, Reading, etc., is now right-justified instead of left-justified. I can get used to it if that's going to be the way from now on, but for now it's throwing off my muscle memory.

If it matters, my theme is "Denim, by branchandroot for Basic Boxes".

I have a different navigation bar issue--the navigation bar at the top of my journal, with Recent Entries, Archive, Reading, has disappeared entirely!

Haven't been on for a couple of days, so don't know if this happened before or after the fix for mildred_of_midgard about right vs. left justification.

Can you go to https://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/options?group=modules and see if the navigation module is still set to the header section? One other user reported having it get set to 'unassigned' (still not sure why), and setting it back to 'Header' made it show up again properly.

The navigation module in the header of the Database layout looks all weird. My screen resolution is 1280 x 720 and this was tested on Firefox and Google Chrome. Screenshot. [I have since moved the navigation module to the sidebar until there is a fix.]

The header on Corinthian used to have the journal title/subtitle close to the top and there is a huge amount of empty space there now after the code push. This is what it looks like after the push.

Sorry to be a pain in the butt, but I thought you ought to know a couple DW themes got weird! :3

Hi, not sure if this is just a coincidence but since around the time of the update, the cut function isn't working for me or anyone on my flist. Or rather, it SORT OF works, but the font and formatting is all messed up and it definitely looks borked. Any chance someone could look into that? Thanks :)

Looks like your custom style was using the old very hacky way of targeting cut elements, and isn't interacting quite right with the new classes and wrappers we put to make it possible to target them in less-hacky ways. To fix it, remove the display:flex; line from .cut-action, and then add .cut-open, .cut-close {display: none;}
