Code has been pushed!

Hiya, as per yesterday's announcement, the latest Dreamwidth code has been deployed.

This is the issue/bug/problem tracking post! Please let us know if you see anything... untoward.

Fixed

  • Posting an entry would tell you that your password was blank.
  • API key generation/deletion was... behaving a little weird.
  • Profiles pages were converted to Markdown, but this was too soon. I've put them back to raw HTML, they should look like they did before the push!

Known Issues

  • Chrome auto-filling in password forms, when trying to post as the already logged in user, results in an error. Still haven't fixed this one, but we will.
  • Reports of logging out possibly not? Need more information, login/logout work for me. Seems transient?

And as a reminder, if you use Semagic et al, please check the link above for information on how to configure it to keep working with Dreamwidth!

Same problem. I'm on Firefox 75.0. It's also automatically making my new post page public, even though in my settings the default is for private.

The minimum security is set server side, not by your browser update form, so if you post it, it will be locked if that's your journal default.

We haven't been able to repoduce the problem, so it's difficult to figure out what might be causing it, but it's definitely due to JavaScript not executing properly in your browser. Please try it in an incognito window with all extensions disabled, to see if you can force a fresh JS load, and if that doesn't work, restarting your computer (not just the browser) may help.

Firefox 75 and Chrome, both on Win10. Same issue also in incognito on both browsers: can't use rich text.

Have you tried the suggested reboot? We're having serious problems fixing this because none of us can reproduce it and there's no obvious reason it's not working, but if our current theory is correct, that may fix it.

I reboot all the time and that didn't change anything, but I just tried disabling all my extensions on Firefox and that worked, even without rebooting after. I even turned them back on one by one and tried after each re-enabling, and the issue didn't return. Even though I DIDN'T disable anything on Chrome, the form works on Chrome too now.

I had:
Connective signing extension
eID Belgium
Facebook container
I don't care about cookies
New XKit
