Since it's getting clear this isn't going to be an immediate fix, we've temporarily disabled credit card payments in the shop entirely so y'all don't keep getting errors. Points and check/money order still work. We've got a multi layered plan if we can't get back on Monday, it's just that banks still live 9-5 Monday-Friday.

I'll give China this - banks are open seven days a week. Granted, they generally close at 4:30, but. Seven days.

I know you have had difficulties getting payment handlers in the past, but do you have a list of alternative providers you can go to ?

Credit cards are an international 24/7 thing; can they explain why they don't have 24/7 support ?

Yeah, the state of online payments changed a bunch since we were dealing with all this in 2009, and we've always had a list of "what to try next" in the event of an issue. It just wasn't worth the disruption to switch. Hopefully we'll be able to figure out by Monday whether "fix this problem" is better or worse than "move on to the next one on the list". :)

How long does it take between the sending of a check and paid time being credited?

Once the check gets to our mail service, they forward it to me (2-3 days usually) and I credit it as soon as it gets here!
