When I checked to see if I can use some icons, I still have a bunch that are showed as inactive despite being under the 150 limit. I have tried logging out and logging back in but they are still showing as inactive. Here is what it is showing me.

Hmm, visiting the Edit Icons page should force it to recognize that there's been a quota increase and re-activate icons. We'll look into it, thanks!

If it's just been in the past hour or so, that's probably due to it taking some time for caches to update and it should fix itself over time!

If I click "next entry" past the most recent entry on a community, the text of the error page returned is "There is no entry following this one. Go back to [[journal]]."

API - known issues

- can't currently delete API keys because I am bad at SQL, apparently
- validator game too strong, output from the icons path is not working because the format is wrong
- have not written any docs yet lol

I wanted to ask: Is there any chance of an option in the site layout to have a white background instead of gray? Or a suggestion for a script that would fix it?

There used to be a script for userstyles for it a while back, but a code push broke it.

(Sorry if this isn't the place, I don't usually follow the announcements!)

We don't currently have plans to add an option like that! Have you looked at the other site skins to see if any of them would work better for you?

(Hopefully someone will be able to suggest you a script option! We don't keep a list of them, so I don't really have any suggestions, alas.)

I added my Discord handle to my profile. However, while the other sites in "other services" link to those services, the Discord handle is just text on the screen, not clickable.

That's because Discord doesn't really give users individual profile pages to link to. Some of the other instant messaging services behave the same way: the username shows but without a link.

Hi Team! Thanks for the hard work and the additional icon slots IT'S NICE. I also like how viewport meta tag is also gonna be usable in custom.

I use the Tectonic layout for one of my accounts and after the code push, it's pushed everything up and the headers now float all over the navigation strip. I also use Firefox. Is there a setting I am missing? Thanks!

Not sure if this is related, but I'm currently unable to mark items in my inbox as "read" or delete them (even though they're not flagged). I didn't notice it until I made a post yesterday evening, around 6pm ET.

Probably not related to the code push, if it was happening that early - unfortunately there are a few heisenbugs around the notification system. Can you open a support request with when you noticed it starting, and any other details, just so we can track it?

I apologize for reposting this but I submitted this on what turned out to be a really old maintenance post, so I thought I'd copy/paste it here to the new one:

Is there anything in the pipeline to fix the issue where, when I upload a 100x100 icon, the image quality is diminished? I can understand if I uploaded something bigger than actual icon size that it would go into the cropping tool so that it could get cut down to size, but I feel like if I'm doing the work to ensure that my icon is already the right size and saving it in a clear format that the image quality shouldn't be affected when I upload, but my icons unfailingly lose quality when I upload them to DW. Is there something that can be done to keep that from happening?

Also of note, I don't think this *used* to happen, but it's happening every time for me now.

Hrm. The navbar is currently inaccessible for me (potentially because my blog title has creeped up the page into it?). I can probably hack around enough to fix it for myself (I'll be off to do that after writing this comment), but I am wondering about the underlying cause.

Also, ftr, I'm using City Dragon (by momijizukamori) for Tectonic. It had some tweaks, but nothing that should have messed with the header. (Uh. Until now, since turning off mobile view didn't do anything, so my next step was pushing the header down some pixels until I could access the navigation strip again, which did work.)

edit: Finally read the Code Tour, so probably #2378 had something to do with it, along with my tendency to make my fonts smaller than the standard. I'm fine with the way I fixed it, though.

Some weird wonkiness regarding keywords! I can't think of how it'd be on my side, so I figure it wouldn't hurt to mention. But since the push, it doesn't seem to like it when you "swap" keywords between icons anymore. If that makes sense.

Just using my own icons as an example since it's the easiest way to illustrate - you'll see they're numbered!
Before the code push, if I deleted one of them in the middle, I was able to go through and rename the remaining icons with keywords from the ones below the icon that was deleted (so if I deleted, say, icon 45, I had to go in and move the keywords up, so the icon that was numbered 46 became the new 45, 47 became the new 46, etc.)
Since the code push, though, doing this results in getting "keyword already exists" errors for every single icon with swapped keywords, even despite those icons also getting their keywords changed - resulting in no change happening at all.
I now have to go in, rename them all something completely different entirely, and then go in and give them the correct keywords I intended in the first place.

... I also realize that's really stupidly convoluted so like, to break it down:
Before the code-push, I could swap keywords with one step, like this:
x > y
y > z
z > x
Etc.

Now, after the code push, doing this gives me an error, so I have to do it more like this:
x > a
y > b
z > c

a > y
b > z
c > x

If this makes any goddamn sense, sheesh. 💦

deleting messages from inbox

this is probably *not* the right place to post this, but couldn't find another...
can't delete the messages from my inbox. they're notifications for entries and comments on a page I manage. I've ticked the box on each message, clicked delete selected, delete all, nothing happens :(

Aha! I figured out why my link on my side bar to the Latest Things page was giving me a 404 and 'you typed it wrong' message the last 2 days -- the URL was changed. It's no longer 'latest.bml' (new URL: https://www.dreamwidth.org/latest )

Hmm, old URLs should redirect when that happens, so something's not right.
