Code Push Happening Tonight -- 8PM PDT Tuesday / 0300 UTC Wednesday

We're planning to do a code push tonight to deploy pending code updates from the past several months. Once the code push starts, you may notice that the site is slow to respond, but it should remain available to use unless something goes badly wrong.

If you're relatively new to Dreamwidth and interested in tracking our development process, our commit logs are published to [site community profile] changelog and [community profile] changelog_digest, and every month or so, one of our volunteers will translate those often-cryptic entries into witty, informative code tours! The most recent one was published earlier today, so check it out if you want to see what's coming up.

Watch this space for further updates!

I have loved code tours ever since they began, which since it was now TEN YEARS AGO isn't clear to me if it was closed or open beta, but I'm so appreciative that they are done and continue!

Thanks as always for keeping us in the loop. I actually just joined and subscribed to your development communities, and to the Changelog comm. I know next to nothing about programming, but would like to start learning.
