code update

We just did a rather large code update, with something like 50 separate commits... that's a lot. This should fix a lot of issues we've been seeing.

Is there a way to see our own navigation stuff at the top when we're on someone else's comment page, rather than the person whose journal we're at (i.e. when you view LJ comment pages in your own style)? I took the navbar off 'cause it's yucky and annoying (on either site) but I think I may have to submit to it if it's going to be the only way I can get back to my own stuff after surfing someone else's for a while...

...either that or there's something obvious I've just missed, which is totally possible too!
