We are planning to do a code push around 35 hours from now, at 8pm Pacific time on Saturday.
Here's a partial list of changes that will go live with this push, apart from the usual minor tweaks and bugfixes:

Here's a partial list of changes that will go live with this push, apart from the usual minor tweaks and bugfixes:
- Markdown formatting support for crossposted entries.
- Embedded content support for Google ngrams, Google calendar, vid.me, and codepen.io.
- Additional space on the user profile page to list your DeviantArt username.
- Improved support for browsing the site with HTTPS (fewer mixed content warnings).
- The legacy mobile reading page has been updated to support filter selection.
- The suggestions generator has been updated to use Github Issues.
- Dreamwidth-based sites will now be able to disable anonymous support requests.
We'll update again to let you know when the code push is in progress!

Are you sure? 8 pm on Saturday is more than 17 hours away. In fact it's more than 24 hours. Did somebody slip an am or pm or time zone or something?

I was told there was a workaround for this, but it seems to have been taken down from anywhere I could find it- and it would be nice if we didn't need a workaround to begin with!

Oh, is that the issue with Chrome on Android devices? I don't think anyone has worked on that problem yet, but it's on our list!

I'd rather use Plurk on Firefox, but at least I have a viable alternate option than just 'Use the mobile site' as I have been.

Does Dreamwidth have a particular stance regarding accounts made years ago, that have never verified their emails? These seem fairly common, and I've been wondering if anything will be done for those or if they'll always remain like that.

Generally speaking, once an account is registered, it belongs to the person who registered it until and unless they choose to delete it, whether the email address on the account was confirmed or not.

Yeah, you can still use your account with an unconfirmed email address (you just don't get emailed notification of comments) so we consider the account active even if the address isn't confirmed.

Well done, everyone. \o/
Thanks for all you do and for keeping us informed.
Thanks again, for keeping DW accessible for text browsers like lynx and w3m.
