We're working on trying to diagnose and fix the issue of missing notifications. This bug's been fixed. If you were affected, you won't get notifications that you missed getting, but you will get notifications from here on out.

Is there supposed to be large titles at the top now? Large title is large. 'Dreamwidth Maintenance' never used to be there before. Looks like it's giving the title of the page you are currently on. Takes up a lot of space so I was wondering if there is an off option. I'm using the 'Negatives' theme.

The fact the journal title didn't display in Negatives was a bug that was fixed, so yes, it's supposed to be there! you can remove it with custom CSS, though i don't have the code at the moment -- the fine folks in style_system can help you much better than i would be able to. :)

We have a community layout that uses pretty much only the custom text module and nothing else, but it seems to have disappeared entirely, except for a tiny little unfilled module up top, as seen here: http://aathernet.dreamwidth.org/read

this push changed the custom text module to being a per-account instead of per-layout setting. it should've moved it over for you but if it didn't, you can get the text of what it was by following this method and copy it back in!

The, uh, top of my journal--the menu bar--is weird. It changed to be way thicker and has my journal's subtitle on it, which was only on the profile before.

the fact the journal title was not displaying in your style was actually a bug we fixed! (which is what caused the space that section takes up to be larger: to fit the title.) i know you can remove it with CSS but i don't have the code handy; you can ask in style_system.

I noticed with the custom text module, I can no longer set user names like autorejoin ← that into the module. As in, when I input that html in, it just doesn't show up. Is that a mistake, or is it just the way it is going to work now?

I really dig some of these new styles and themes. Some of them are real gems. Code push weirdness is totally worth the beauty of something color coordinated and streamlined to stare at for a few hours a day.

For some reason, all replies to my comments in any post now end up in my DW inbox. Looking at the notifications setting, there seems to be no way to have them be email only anymore. Is this a bug or intentional?

intentional: it sounds bizarre but it's actually the first step we needed to do in order to allow people to choose to bypass the inbox entirely if they want. (which we don't recommend, since email is horribly unreliable, but we know people ask for it frequently!)

I had the same issue with the custom text on the top left had disappeared after the code push.

It was all good tho, since I read the comments here and noticed someone else had the same issues and fixed it accordingly, so glad you responded to that other reply, that fixed mine right up too!

(I just wanted to comment on the great job you guys are doing, as usual. And maybe one day I should man up the courage to submit layouts.)

it's been moved! the link is correct in the menu (http://www.dreamwidth.org/comments/recent) -- if you let me know where you got that link, i can make sure it's changed (and i'll open a bug, usually when we move stuff we like to redirect it for at least a little while)

(also i forgot to say: thank you for calling the 404s witty! i sometimes worry they're a bit indulgent, but on the other hand, if you can't be indulgent when you own the place...)

I've been getting e-mails from posts where I've turned comment notifications off. Went to make sure it was off, saved it again as "Don't Email," still getting emails. Not sure if this is buggy or not.

ETA: Getting them in my inbox, too. Maybe the whole "Don't Email" is broken?

hm, i tried with a don't-email-comments post just now: the comment went to the inbox, but i didn't get an email notif for it. (which is how it's always been: you get an inbox notif for comments on don't-email posts, it just, you know, doesn't email.) check the full headers on the notification? there should be a header called "X-lj-recipient" (notable for being one of the last instances of 'LJ' in the code!) -- that will tell you if you were maybe subscribed to the entry with another account?

The log in button is doing a thing no matter what page I'm on. afaik it's not supposed to be attacking the red border like that.

Also I'm not sure if it's because I did something way back in the day but Fresh Cotton for Crisped is appearing mostly in browns and blues to me during preview instead of light grays. It's as it should be when I preview on a different account. I'm not up to actually applying the theme to check if it's simply my old tinkering with colors because wouldn't that mean I'd lose all my customizations for what I'm using now? (I don't switch themes enough to remember anything oops.)

Try pressing CTRL+0 and let me know if that fixes the issue with the login button. Sometimes that happens if you're a little zoomed in. If it doesn't fix the issue, open a Support request for me and I'll take a closer look.

The notifs I'm getting are kind of sporadic. I'm getting them for some places and not on other ones.

For example, I did get This but I didn't get this one. These are both from the same person but they're in different places.

ETA: As far as I know the comms are both set up to send responses. I also checked in my own notification preferences and don't see anything off that might be affecting this.
