Update on the importer

Hello Dreamwidth! Kat here!

As you may have noticed, we are experiencing some issues with importing comments from LiveJournal. They made some changes to their code, which broke the way our importer retrieves comments. Mark knows what is wrong, and is working on it. Unfortunately, it's going to be a day or two before it's fixed.

For right now, hold tight and don't retry your import. Once it's fixed, someone will post here and then you can try again. Thank you for your patience!

Hmmm it looks like that is trying to do OpenID 2.0. I thought that worked but perhaps not. Let me poke exor674 and see if she has a better idea than me!

I am leaving LJ because just sick of them. Especially after they represented the new friend’s page. I hope you guys will never do such bad decisions.

We support the use of Google Analytics. I am on my phone, so I can't give you any more details, but I think there is a FAQ on it, and the option should bein the journal options page, iirc.

Ha! Here go: http://www.dreamwidth.org/manage/settings/?cat=display . You will need to set up a GA account to use it.

Yep, seems to be OpenID 2.0 -- I wonder if it's choking on the identifier: http://specs.openid.net/auth/2.0/identifier_select ( instead of sending http://exor674.dreamwidth.org/ or whatever ) -- that or we never actually finished OpenID 2.0 -- I've not been following that project.

Hi.
I found, that if I import posts from LJ, I create duplicates of posts, which were imported already last time. Is there way to import only new/updated posts/comments?

Now it seems to be effecting everything being imported. I have two accounts still waiting for everything to be moved over from the site that shall not be named.
