Code update and cluster moves
Just did another code update. Very tiny. Celerity is now available as a site scheme for those who want a chance of pace from the Tropospherical scheme.
Additionally, I will be starting a process of cluster moves for people on the Temporary Cluster. If you are on this cluster, you will be moved to one of our new clusters. (Note that the cluster names are, well, temporary. We will be running some sort of something to let the community name our database clusters after Open Beta hits.)
What cluster are you on?
The process of cluster moves is fairly painless. If you are using the site during the 30 seconds your account is moving, you will be read only and have to wait a minute for it to finish. If you aren't around at the right time, you'll never know it happened.
As always, if you see any problems, please let me know.

looks good to me otherwise.
What determined the initial cluster out of curiousity? I'm on temporary but the community I created is on Alpha Centauri.

The initial cluster is somewhat random. There were initially three clusters: 1, 2, and 3. Only the first 50 people were on cluster #1, they've all been moved. Cluster #3 is purely for syndicated accounts. #2 is where most people have been put -- 85,000 accounts (openids/comms/people).
The maintenance two nights ago added in clusters #4 and #5, which are actually physically separate. (1, 2, and 3 share the same hardware.)
But, the hardware that clusters 1, 2, and 3 are on also is the hardware running the global database, MogileFS database, TheSchwartz database, etc. So it's pretty busy. When all is said and done, we'll have three physically separate clusters, one is the global/misc cluster, the other two (Alpha Centauri and Betelgeuse) are user clusters.
Way too much detail? I hope so!
Too much detail?
edit: and now to poke my email admin and see if the firewall decided to start blocking email from Dreamwidth, because I'm not getting emailed notifications for anything.

Can I just say I love those names and hope you keep them?

Is that a request? :) Hey,

Do you like the same purples as Tropo Purple, or would you rather something darker or blander? (This is absolutely open for anyone else to respond to, also.)

Of course, my love of purple is pretty epic, so just about any shades of purple would be wonderful otherwise. :D :X

Is there somewhere you'd suggest I could go to read about learning these things? ^_^ I have some CSS/(X)HTML skills, but I don't really know what's involved in skinning the home page. (n00b!)

Thank you for Celerity it makes everything seem much clearer somehow, though don't ask me why.

Also, I still have to debug, so code may change in places!

... Or I could spend some time playing around with it and making it prettier when I really should have been doing something actually productive. But it's really easy to work with, if you know what you're aiming for with the color schemes and how you want it to look. (I never really mucked with the LJ color schemes beyond the defaults.)
Maybe a problem?
Is it me, or are other people having this issue?

Small bug report: the footer is misbehaving on the results page of the interest search. (Firefox)

I'm using Mac OS 10.4.11, with Firefox 3.0.8 as a browser. The same issue shows up on Safari 3.2.1, and I'm assuming that this is a bug instead of a feature. If I'm wrong and this is meant to be a feature, and/or if this isn't the right place to report this sort of thing, I do apologize. Please feel free to smite me and send me to the right place. (N00b, here.)

Any chance to get the Tropo layout with the Celerity colours? *g*
