code push complete

The code push is now complete, and we're working on fixing the issues that have been reported!

(Biggest issue right now: Javascript is not being properly loaded on the site. [personal profile] fu and the rest of the Usual Suspects are working to fix.)

So do I! They are exciting links!

Should I be ashamed of the squeaky noise I made when I saw a code push was going on?

It made me squeak too!

...and now I already want to whine that I want them at the bottom of the page too. Oh well.

ETA: I just went to a post and went looking for the "hide all but top-level comments" link for about a minute before I went, "crap, it's on lj." CURSE YOU,DW. Two hours ago I didn't even know I wanted that feature, and now I can't live without it.

Hmmm, odd. Do you remember anything in particular about the entry, and does it happen again if you try with the same text / settings / etc?

It looks like anyone who wants to continue receiving crosspost success messages will have to opt in. (Oops?)

The setting is on this page under "An attempt to crosspost an entry succeeds."

The new "lump all OpenID accounts together" feature on the profile page only seems to be working for Gives Access To. In the other categories they're still sorted with the DW accounts. Am I missing something?

I was about to open a support ticket but figured I'd ask here first - my journal never came back after the code push. I can get to my reading page, I can even post to my journal, but when I try to go directly to my main journal page, I get bounced to the "DW down for maintenance" screen. Am I doing something wrong?

I had the exact same problem, so it wasn't just you! It's fixed now, but it was very bizarre. Turns out I just had to hit "refresh" on the "down for maintenance page," but it took me hours to think of trying that. Darn caches.

Not sure if this belongs here, feel free to redirect me if it doesn't, but I have a question about the new color behavior of the DW inbox. When you select a notification, all the text inside it turns red. It definitely makes the selection noticeable but that's a whole lot of red. It's quite...intense, especially if the notification is a big block of text (say, fic). Any chance it could be brought back to black text?

I'm in the JS beta. I'm using Transmogrified. When I view an entry in my transmogrified and expand a comment thread, the icon of one comment overlaps the bottom couple of rows of the comment above it in space (which may or may not be the comment above it in threading.)

If the thread is not yet collapsed, so the comments are showing without expansion, the alignment is what I expect, without the overlap from one comment to another.

I've gotten this result on both Chromium 14 and Opera 11.51, on Ubuntu Linux 10.10.

My caveat on reporting this here is that I don't typically view comment pages in my style; my default setting is to view them in light style, so it is not impossible this was happening before the most recent code push, and I just never noticed. However, this is not already in bugzilla (that I could find) or a know issue on the help page, so I'm assuming its relatively new.

Minor note about crosspost notification change:

the "edit entry" success message still says "Crosspost requested to [account]. You will be notified in your Dreamwidth Inbox when this attempt has completed."

Even though I won't be because I haven't opted-in to success-notifications.

Um, hope I'm in the right spot for this. Earlier, I copy/pasted a post I'd written y/day into a new post and when I 'published'/viewed the post, it had run blocks of text together in one big para. I had to go in and force breaks where I wanted them. I'm on Chrome too.

Is the cut tag issue because the javascript's not loading? Or was that already fixed? When I close a cut tag using the close cut tag link, it doesn't take me back to that entry any more, it just leaves me scrolled that far down the page.

I've seen it for my own icons as well two other people's icons, but I don't know whether anyone else has seen it.
