markOur embedded content domain (embedded.dreamwidth.net) was unreachable for ~20 minutes. This was because Slicehost suffered a power outage in their DFW data center.
We have moved all production services off of Slicehost, but apparently the DNS for the embedded domain was still pointing at the old IP. Since I still have the old IP available (it simply forwards to the new IP) it was still working. When the slice went down we lost that forwarding and it broke embedded content.
I've corrected the IP on our domain so it should be updated to the new IP address in the next 24-48 hours. Sorry for the inconvenience.
