System updates

I'm doing system updates. They're generally transparent and you won't notice them, but they will cause some things to become unavailable for short periods of time.

Right now, notifications are delayed for 5-10 minutes.

In a little bit, search will be down for 5-10 minutes.

Later, crossposting will be delayed for 5-10 minutes.

These should generally not even be noticed as the downtimes are so short, but I wanted to let you know in case you happen to be expecting something right at that point.

I'll update our @dreamwidth Twitter account as each service goes down and when I'm done.

Thank you for the notification. I feel a little silly continuing to say thank you for little things, but I also want to not take them for granted.

Considering it took LJ, what, one or two days this time to tell us that the delay on their comment notifications was a site problem, I think Mark deserves lots of thanks and possibly cookies :)
