Thank you for this! To anyone arguing that no user-generated content should be restricted for any reason other than 'it's obviously illegal', I put it to you that you might feel differently if every spambot on Dreamwidth decided one day that for some reason your journal was the perfect place to post hundreds of nonsense comments. Never mind the many terrible and/or potentially dangerous things people like to put on the internet, think of all the things that are just really fucking annoying!
