Thanks for the poke. I've debated whether to import or not for some time (in a way I liked to start anew with a clean slate here), but in the end the desire to back up almost 20 years' blogging won over. :)
Perhaps because I live in different time-zones from Russia or the US it went really fast and without any problems.
