Unrelated to photobucket, but could you explain what you mean by

it will be automatically transformed on our end to an HTTPS link that uses p.dreamwidth.org

? I have seen that some of the image links in my posts (hosted on lj) are also prefaced with p.dreamwidth.org, and wondered what it means.
