Looks like the spam reports page (http://www.dreamwidth.org/admin/spamreports?mode=top10ip) has gone peculiar; I get a line reading

[Error: syntax error at /home/dw/current/htdocs/admin/spamreports.bml line 167, near "; ." @ sb-web01.dreamwidth.org]

and no reports.

Something broke the tags on the latest things page? Or is it just a case of taking time for the data to repopulate?

Someone reports the max limit for comments still stuck at 5,000 (this is request #10322).

Okay, so I have the default style, meaning I have never so much as touched a style setting. Which for me means a heading for every entry/comment. Right now I know style=mine isn't working because comment pages/other people's journals that aren't also on the original style don't have any headings. I assume they're totally different styles, this is just the thing that jumps out at me.

Under settings, I have original style selected for both entry view style and journal view style. And I have "show my entries in my journal style instead of the site layout" checked, if that's important. Also checked is view comment pages in your own journal style. I haven't changed any of these in years.

-- Clicking on change your vote now also clears you vote so you no longer know what you voted for.

-- Polls results/change your vote not being AJAXed with beta turned on (I've also reported this at dw_beta)

-- Zvi reported a possible issue with feeds (this is request #10366)

Glad to hear that the code was a pushover.

No, I also tested it in dw_suggestions. It's the same thing for all the polls I answered there. I've got Firefox 6 but I've just checked in Chrome and I've got the same problem.

Logged out, expired all my sessions, deleted all DW cookies, cleared the cache, restarted FF, turned off beta:

-- Journal view: I see my answer (it's not marked BTW). I click on Change my vote: no button is selected.
-- Entry view: same thing.
-- Poll view: same thing.

Same thing in IE9, same thing in Chrome.

I get warnings in the Console (empty CSS declarations in the style's stylesheet I think) but no errors.

Edit: wow weird. I logged in with another username and my answer is marked (but not in the detailed view) and the button is selected when I want to change my vote.

Edit2: and weirder. Logged out of Chrome with this second username, cleared all my data, logged in with a third username and couldn't see anything again (answer not marked, no button selected when changing vote).

Cleared cache, restarted Chrome, logged back in with third username: still nothing. Logged out, logged back in with second username (didn't clear data): displayed fine.

It doesn't seem like it does. The entry still says maximum comments reached instead of reply and manually entering the reply URL still gives me:

Post a comment in response:
Sorry, this entry already has the maximum number of comments allowed.

Edit: works now. :)

Right? And it works perfectly well on my hack. I have no idea what's going on.

I don't know if this helps or not but I just noticed that it seems to work if the poll uses radio buttons. Then there's a star indicating my choice and when I use click Change Your Vote the correct radio button is "on". If the poll question uses ticky boxes however neither seems to work. For me it seems to work if the poll question uses radio buttons but not when it uses ticky boxes.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to see if it made a difference for me but apparently no. That's so weird.

We're currently troubleshooting some site slowness

Just wanted to ask if that's still a known issue. Pages with lots of comments won't load for me right now and there have been a couple of requests about this too.

[personal profile] anonies 2011-09-03 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
i'm seconding the person above. pages with a lot of comments, and indeed all the entries in our journal, are taking a very long time to load.

[personal profile] gleeme 2011-09-03 12:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Thirding the above two people. It's been very slow and I've gotten multiple page timeouts for over a week now. I know it's a holiday weekend for a lot of people but even a simple "we're still working on the slowness problem" here or on Twitter would be nice.

Sorry about that -- I've been on vacation and didn't have a chance to update Twitter. We are investigating, yeah, but it's proving to be really difficult to track down.
