I have exactly the same situation: Verifying username/password, tags and the custom security groups go through just fine, and then the process aborts when it gets to importing the entries. The messages in the inbox are only about the successful import of tags and friend groups, nothing about journal entries. And it's been doing this since 04/07, i.e. from the day I created my DW account.
