But seriously, the only thing to do is to sit tight and wait things out. If the DDoS controllers are renting botnet time to perform the DDoS, they'll run out of money eventually. If they control the botnet directly, eventually they will slip up and do something that will let LJ filter the malicious traffic. It will cost LJ a lot of time and money, but they know what they're doing, and they're probably among the most skilled people at DDoS mitigation on the web! (They get a lot of practice.) In the meantime, the best thing to do is to reduce the amount of traffic you provide to LJ (to help lower the load overall), make sure that everyone knows this is likely an act of political terrorism and not LJ's fault, and be patient.
