Hey! I've been using the beta features for awhile and the icons always defaulted big + meta text. Now they're small + meta text. Is there a way to make them big + no meta text every time? I loved having the bigger size for months.

Thanks for all your hard work!

I see a new option: Test Beta Features.

Now I won't have to keep going to dw-beta or news whenever I want to turn the Create New Entries on and off. <3

Could you provide some more information about the make and model of your phone as well as the OS and version and if you use the stock browser or something else?

Edit: We had a bug on the icons editing page that is now fixed. You should be able to upload again from your phone.

Weird, I see the six lines of links still. Could you try doing a hard refresh (shift + F5, or shift + click the refresh button) and see if that helps?

It's possible your CSS didn't load properly?

I'd like to second this question. On the whole, I really do like the new icon browser better. It looks better, it seems to load faster, and it's just a whole lot smoother in general. I really like that you can turn off the meta text, even though I do like to be able to see that.

I can definitely live with having the icons in upload order, but having the option to order them alphabetically would also be nice. And very useful.

I'm not sure what's causing it since it happens erratically with no discernible pattern, but I'm noticing that occasionally when I go to click "reply" to a comment on a post, instead of having the comment box appear on that page, it's taking me to the full comment page instead. I thought it might have just been my connection loading things slow (although that was never an issue before) but it just happened to me on a thread in a tab that I had loaded several minutes again and then came back to.

I'm running Firefox 17.0.1 (yes I know I'm a slacker about upgrading) and this was NEVER a problem for me prior to the code push, in fact it started appearing basically immediately after, with the first instance happening within minutes after the push was completed.

My banner is borked. I don't know if it has anything at all to do with the code push, but the timing seems to fit. I realize it's probably something I have to tweak in the CSS, but I'm not all that savvy, so I'd appreciate any advice.

It does! There was something which didn't work in this style and now does. You probably tried to make it work at some point but went another way when it failed. If you want to keep the banner at the very top, the one you added with custom CSS, simply go to http://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/options?group=images and blank the field for the header background image.

The new contextual menu seems to override any standard hover text (title html) added on usericons. It's still there, but the contextual menu has to be gotten rid of first by clicking in order to then go back over the usericon and get the hover text (at which point the contextual menu is gone and can only be brought back by reloading the page).

This wasn't a problem with the previous contextual menu and I'm wondering if anything can be done to fix it, as I know a lot of roleplayers who use usericons and hover text on charts, and this is really pesky to have to deal with.

I don't know if it's related to the code push, but the vast majority of the time, I'm getting a white page when I change pages (going back in my reading page, or clicking through to someone else's journal, for instance). It sorts itself out, eventually, but it's making loading time longer than it used to be.

I managed to get a screenshot when heading over to my fic journal, which does not look anything like this normally!!

Edited to give a shot of what it looks like normally - on the right.

that usually means the CSS failed to load when loading the page. have you been having the same problem on any other sites?

Hi!

So, this doesn't seem to be a widespread issue or anything and it might very well just be me, but since it's an issue that came up recently, I'm wondering if maybe someone could shed some light on it.

I seem to be having trouble expanding my comments most of the time. Instead of expanding the comments, clicking on Expand will take me to a new page with that subthread, as if I had clicked on 'Thread.' Only I didn't! And I don't know if they are related, but I seem to be having a similar issue with my PMs. If I click on my Sent messages and try to expand and read one with the little triangle near my icon, it refreshes the page and takes me to my inbox instead (different from my sent messages!) So I can't even look over what I've sent.

I'm also having an issue where clicking "Reply to this" or "Post a new comment" sometimes takes me to a new page as well instead of opening up the comment box. But usually I can refresh once or twice and fix this. Still, I find it worth mentioning.

Thank you in advance if anyone knows what might be going on, and -- wow sorry for babbling. I hope I made sense.

Hi! Just a minor thing, but I'm running into an issue where when I go to reply to a one-liner comment, if my mouse goes over the userpic first the contextual menu pops up and covers the reply link for a moment. This would be a nonissue that I wouldn't even notice, but unfortunately the "ban user" link ends up right on top of the "reply to this" link and it's resulting in some accidental banning. I've turned off the contextual menu to prevent this, but it seems to be a problem some friends of mine are having too.

Dear Mantainers:

I have trouble with the "Display Name" section of the profile. I entered a text with accents (I'm a Spanish-speaker), and now it gives me the message "Your name contains invalid characters. You must visit the conversion page to convert it to Unicode." But the link provided leads to a 404. It won't let me change the text to something without accents, either.

What should I do?
